How to make Palak Paneer Recipe?

Ingredients:
- 1 pound of spinach
- Cubed paneer (eight ounces)
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 1 tablespoon of ghee
- 1 cinnamon stick (about)
- 2 bay leaves (optional)
- Cumin seeds (1/2 teaspoon)
- 1/8 teaspoon of asafoetida (hing)
- 10 peppercorns in their whole form
- Whole Cloves — 2 cloves
- 5 cloves of garlic, minced
- a chunk of ginger about an inch in length
- Green Chilies – 2 or to your liking
- 1 cup coarsely chopped onion (optional).
- a pinch of salt to taste
- a half teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon of Kashmiri Chili Powder
- Red Chili Powder – 1/2 teaspoon (or to your liking)
- 1 teaspoon of coriander powder
- a half teaspoon of cumin powder
- a half teaspoon of garam masala
- 1 tablespoon of dried fenugreek leaves (Kashuri Methi)
- Tomatoes – 2 medium-sized ones, cut finely
- a half cup of water
- 1/4 cup heavy cream (optional)
- nutmeg (1/2 teaspoon)
Making process:
- Add Spinach to a dish of icy water after cooking it for 2 to 3 minutes. After a few minutes, use the blender’s pulse button to sieve and coarsely blend the mixture.
- On a medium heat, add the oil to the pan.
- Cubed Paneer should be added to hot oil and sauteed till golden brown on both sides, if not all.
- Using a strainer and a basin of water, remove the Paneer from the pan and set it aside. Remove from sight.
- Whole Peppercorn and Whole Cloves should be crushed roughly in a mortar and pestle in order to release their flavours.
- Crush the garlic, ginger, and green chiles with the peppercorns and cloves that have already been smashed.
- Sauté the paneer in the saved Oil, then add the Ghee.
- Asafoetida (Hing) and the finely chopped garlic, ginger, and green chiles go into the pot with the cinnamon stick and the rest of the seasonings. Fry until golden brown, about ten minutes.
- When the onions begin to brown, add a little salt and continue to sauté until the onions are tender.
- Garam Masala and dry Fenugreek Leaves can be added as well as Kashmiri Chili Powder, Red Chili Powder, Cumin Powder, and Kashmiri Chili Powder. Make sure everything is well-combined.
- Mix in the tomatoes. Water and boil tomatoes till tender.
- Mix in ground Spinach and salt. Cook for about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Nutmeg is also a good addition. Make sure everything is well-combined.
- Add the Spinach to the Paneer by squeezing the water out of the soaked Paneer.
- When all the flavours have a chance to meld, cook for an another 3-4 minutes or so.
- Heat the Ghee in a small skillet for the seasoning.
- Toss in some dried red chilies, cumin, and salt & pepper to taste.
- Allow the julienned Ginger to brown slightly before adding it.
- Serve Palak Paneer with the spices.
